Build a playable game

Use a coding agent in your Godot project, then close the loop with engine runs and error feedback. Add a reviewed MCP bridge when you need editor tools.

What this stack does

Prototype → run → fix → play

Components and their roles

Claude Code / CodexCoding harness ↗Godot + optional MCPGame engine + editor tools ↗

How to get started

  1. Pin the Godot version and write a small game specification.
  2. Work on one playable milestone with scenes and scripts.
  3. Run the project, inspect errors and playtest before adding features.

Limitations

The linked community bridge can launch projects, read debug output and manipulate scenes. Automated visual playtesting needs additional tools. Pin compatible versions and review changes in the engine.

Costs and licensing

Godot is MIT licensed; agent access and optional asset tools have separate costs.

Evidence level

Documentation reviewed · not hands-on tested. This is an editorial combination, not a packaged product or a benchmark result.
